Does the long winter have you itching to get out of the house and into the fresh air? If so, check out Cabin Fever Day next Saturday on Lake Mille Lacs.

Cabin Fever Day is a great way to spend the Saturday with your family for the low fee of only $5 per person!  A $5 wristband allows you to sample soups from various area businesses, including the Bird’s Nest, Diamond Dave’s, Garrison VFW Post 1816, Green Lantern, Harbor Inn, Junction, Lonesome Pine, Svoboda’s Spotlite Café, Red Door Restaurant and the Y Club. There will also be a free shuttle available, so you won’t have to brave the cold to make your way to all the destinations.

Besides sampling delicious soups, Cabin Fever Day also features a variety of outdoor activities the whole family will love, and there’s no better way to spend a winter day than out on Lake Mille Lacs! Activities for Cabin Fever Day include softball and sledding on the ice, fireworks, an ice skating rink and a bonfire to warm up next to after a long day on the ice.

Cabin Fever Day also offers something for adults, with Bloody Mary specials at the VFW and games at the local bars.

Cabin Fever Day is a great way to get out of the house and onto the ice before spring arrives. The event begins at noon, but make sure to come early before the soup runs out!
