The bays have some ice cover but it’s not likely ready for foot traffic.  The area received about 4″ of heavy, wet snow last night which is making the ice cover wet and slushy.
Unfortunately warm weather is in the forecast so ice production may be on the slow side.  Check with local resorts and bait shops for conditions in particular areas of the lake and conditions can vary.

Take this transition time to get your ice fishing tackle in order with new line and sharpened hooks. Check your camera and Vexilars to make sure they are working properly. Have you started your fish house heater to make sure it fires up? Do it now so you’re ready when the ice arrives!
