Rocky Reef Resort – Well it looks like the bite is right where we left it over 3 weeks ago, the fish are very healthy and they are still on the bite. Walleyes are out on the deep gravel and out in the basin areas in 33 ft. of water and also the Mud bite is still also hot.

The smallmouth bite is still very good from 12 to 18 ft. and out of the structure in 30 ft. of water. The bigger fish are coming out of deeper water, whether it is a walleye or a Smallie, so make sure you hit those areas for the big ones.

Fisher’s Resort – We had ups and downs with weather, but people were able to get on some fish. The walleye bite has been good, and it seems like the bass picked up. A few Muskie and Northern were reported. Try north sand and other deeper areas for the walleye.

Lundeen’s Tackle Castle – Much of the activity again this week was centered around walleye fishing – folks are taking advantage of the last few (11) days of the open-water season. Much of the bite is in 23 feet and deeper. Crawlers and spinners have been good during the daytime, while leeches (yes, they’re small) under a slip bobber have been hot in the evenings. The smallie bite is still challenging – some folks hit ’em, and some don’t. Most of the successful ones are using dropshot rigs and working them SLOWLY. Look for the biggest rocks you can find in 10-20 feet of water. Some of the better spots include Sherman’s Point, Hennepin Island and 3-Mile.
