This is the second year in a row the B.A.S.S. professional tournament will be held on Lake Mille Lacs, which ranked 6th on Bassmaster Magazine’s 100 Best Bass Lake’s list in 2016 and is known among bass anglers as a bucket list smallmouth destination. Make your lodging reservations today!

Between B.A.S.S. festivities, take time to explore the lake, on and off the water. Here are a few recommendations on how to #DoTheLake in the fall.

Day One:

Fishing – Mille Lacs Fantastic Four

Bass, northern pike, jumbo perch, muskie — you name it, we’ve probably got it! With 132,000 acres of water and over 40 species of fish, there are plenty of fish to go around in Lake Mille Lacs, whether you’re a pro or not!

Day Two:

ATVing – Rip the Red Top

Enjoy the twisting routes deep into the woods, the technical terrain, and the Soo Line connecting trail. Whether it’s a solo trip or a family adventure, you’ll be on Minnesota’s largest network of ATV/UTV trails.

Day Three:

Charter Fishing – Prepare for Launch

Gather your whole group and head out on the mighty waters of Lake Mille Lacs on a boat launch, complete with your very own fishing guide. Launches can hold up to 50 people and many have restrooms on board. Ahoy!

Day Four:

Hiking – A Paul Bunyan Point of View

Watch the wildlife and take in nature’s beauty while hiking more than 30 trails in our two state parks and Wildlife Management Area. If you’re up for a real challenge, climb the 100-foot tall fire tower at Kathio State Park for a view you’ll never forget.

Day Five:

Gaming – Now That’s Entertainment

All the gaming action you’re looking for at Grand Casino Mille Lacs. Think of it as the best outdoor experience meets up with premium indoor action. You don’t need a rainy day to play indoors.
